A Note from Nica — New Year’s Eve with The Hank Hehmsoth TrioAn early-evening celebration of swing, stories, and jazz devotion — in a room that bears her name.
Wednesday · December 31, 2025 · 6:30–9:30 PM *A creative homage inspired by Baroness Pannonica “Nica” de Koenigswarter. Dear friends, If you have ever loved a melody enough to carry it home, you already understand why doors stay open — why the music matters, and why the artists matter even more. This New Year’s Eve, I invite you to gather at Nica on 4th for an intimate evening with the Hank Hehmsoth Trio. I’ll play—and I’ll share a few brief stories about Nica’s place in the music: not as a headline, but as a listener, a friend, and a witness to the sound that changed everything. This performance is part of my ongoing Wednesday residency at Nica on 4th (6:30–9:30 PM), featuring music written for Nica and reflections on the world she helped shape. Come early. Stay close. Let the piano, bass, and drums do what they do best: turn a room into a conversation.
